I build things people actually use. I founded WheresMyWater.org, a free water-access tool featured on ABC15. I founded Strygonia by myself: I designed its circuit board, wrote its firmware, and shipped its desktop app on three operating systems. I teamed up with an NAU professor to bring a published genomics tool back to life after six years without a working build. Away from the screen, I put in a month of hard labor and service in Peru, and I'm Arizona's #1 polo player in my age group. All with a 4.0 GPA.

Research with an NAU Professor

Reviving NASP

Genomics Research · Northern Arizona University · 2026
  • Teamed up with Dr. Jason Sahl, Associate Professor of Biology at NAU, to rescue NASP, the genomic analysis tool he published for comparing bacterial genomes
  • It crashed on first use and had gone six years without a new build. I tracked down 4 root causes plus a hidden build blacklist across 25 logged test runs
  • Got my fix merged into bioconda, shipping the first new NASP builds in six years. Results matched the expected output byte for byte
